How we help the Environment

Coed Owen Farm is part of an environmental scheme called Glastir. We restrict sheep grazing in woods and river side corridors to protect the wildlife. We have planted hedges with native hawthorn, rowan and hazel and created a wildlife pond in one of our fields on the farm. We try to recycle and reuse as much as possible. There is no food waste as the dogs see to that. As soon as funds permit we intend to install solar panels

We ask all visitors to kindly turn off lights when not in use and to be aware of their energy consumption. We have dual flush toilets and energy efficient showers to use water conservatively. We also have public transport on the doorstep and bike hire information for visitors and can point you in the right direction for walks so you do not need to use the car
